How was your summer, did you recover from any festivals that you might have muddily or otherwise attended?
Between us we got to Download, Glastonbury, Bearded Theory and younger members of the team headed to Leeds.
We love this time of year as after a little hiatus of the new album releases, they start to ramp again. This means we get to see some bands up close and personal in the way of in-store events.
October is a big month for us, with Andrew Cushin, Vistas, The Heavy North and Apollo Junction all swinging by the shop.
There are only a few ticket bundles left for each event.

2023 has been a massive year for new albums and reissues of some seminal albums. We've got hundreds of new releases listed on the website alongside some ace new reissues as well. *Unfortunately release dates are out of our control and subject to change.* - It's getting better but pressing plants are still under a little pressure, which, let's be honest, isn't a bad thing - it shows that the vinyl format is booming.

Lou has done a great job in the first three months of our luxury apartments (above the shop) being open. Loads of guests have had a super comfortable stay then had the pleasure of visiting Wax and Beans the following morning!
She's offered a free overnight stay (something we'll try and do regularly) to folk who support the shop. Neat idea, so long as she doesn't try and rope us into the cleaning afterwards!! We thought that we'd tie this free night at Suite Dreams to the Vistas in store and signing, which is on Thursday 5th Oct (evening).

National Album Day this year is Saturday 14th October. Celebrating 90's albums, the team have curated an unmissable selection of superb albums that ranges from pop to rock to hippity hoppity.
All titles are available to pre order, alternatively you can just casually stroll into your local indie store on the day to make a purchase.

Luna doggie is on her hols at the moment, pictured below watching Coronation Street with her Grandad (she's a true northerner!!). That's another reason why this newsletter might look a little different to usual (but still hopefully a decent read), as Ben and Lou are also on their hols.
