We have teamed with the UK's leading independent coffee supplier Rijo42. We believing in supporting local businesses and Rijo42 are exactly that! Based just up the motorway, they were established in 1989 and offer speciality grade coffee beans that are among the best in the world.
Our coffees are made from gourmet Peruvian Tunki coffee bean. Tunki is a beautifully balanced 100% Arabica, single origin, premium coffee originating from the Peruvian Andes. Tunki boasts a superb floral aroma with sweet chocolate and treacle notes, enhanced with undertones of citrus and red berries.
Grown approximately 1700 metres above sea level in the Sandia Valley, in Peru’s southeastern region of Puno, Tunki coffee cherries are picked by hand and are fully washed. Produced without the use of pesticides and chemicals, Tunki coffee is certified organic by the Rainforest Alliance and cultivated following international fair-trade standards.
Tunki coffee has won a host of awards, its most prestigious being ‘Best Specialty Coffee in the world’ as selected the Specialty Coffee Association of America. Tunki beat 139 offerings from 25 countries to claim the coveted title.
Expertly roasted by a roasting house in Spain, the Tunki coffee beans are packaged in a protective environment immediately after roasting. They are packaged using Nitrogen to ensure maximum freshness and the coffee bags are also fitted with pressure release valves.
