Introducing North Yorkshire heavy-hitter producer and graff-writer Kista with his monolithic slab of instrumental hip hop goodness; Songs From The Sea’s Edge. The album is a first for Kista, changing lane into an exclusively instrumental soundscape – a concept LP drawing on a mix of influences for him as a youth growing up. You’ll catch a glimpse of what it’s like in Kista’s mind; Sci-Fi films, hip hop and 80s arcade games being a few things that inspired his music and artwork to date.
The album is a top-to-tail expression of growing up by the sea, an eerily beautiful and hypnotically coastal, liminal journey – beats, instrumentation and samples make you feel like you’re stood on the beach, facing the sea.
