The Beatles' 60th anniversary project commemorating their visit to Japan. In 1966, The Beatles performed in Japan at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo from June 30 to July 2, creating a sensation throughout the country. This year marks the 60th anniversary of those performances, and "Please Please Me" and "With The Beatles," which were released in 1966 as commemorative editions for their Japan visit, are being released on cardboard sleeve SHM-CD and LP editions that recreate the artwork from that time.
This Japanese-compiled LP was originally released in 1966 as a commemorative edition for The Beatles' visit to Japan. Based on "Please Please Me," it included tracks in stereo that had previously only been available in mono in Japan. It came in a deluxe specification featuring a uniquely designed jacket and obi, plus an 8-page bound-in booklet with color photos and lyrics.
Features a specification that recreates the artwork of the first Japanese LP edition as much as possible. Recreates the obi from the first Japanese LP edition. Includes a six-panel fold-out poster (W868mm x H580mm). The tracks are included in the same order as on the original UK album.
Uses the 2009 remastered audio source.
