Description
The Beatles last hurrah was the long gestating 'Let It Be' album. Actually conceived as a project before the recording of their penultimate album Abbey Road, various inter band squabbles and the temporary departure of George Harrison meant that it wasn't finished by 1970 at which point Phil Spector had been drafted in to slather strings all over it. Not particularly valued on release, it has gained traction over the years most likely when listeners realised the sort of music the four members would make solo.
