Golden Earring’s self-titled 1970 album, also known as “Wall Of Dolls”, saw the Dutch rockers embarking on a harder,
rougher musical journey compared to previous work.
This album includes one of their biggest hits: "Back Home" (#1 in the Netherlands, #15 in Germany).
Golden Earring archivist and reissue producer Wouter Bessels requested Artone Studio to cut an all-analogue cut (AAA), when a playback of the original analogue master tape on a Studer A80 machine was cut direct to lacquer on a Neumann VMS-70 lathe.
This release marks the first AAA cut of a classic Golden Earring album. The direct-to-disc technique allows a faithful representation of the full musical range and dynamics present on the original tape, without any additional equalization and/or digital processing.
Available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on translucent yellow vinyl and contains an insert with liner notes.
