On Friday 2 September 'Wax and Beans' welcomes the return of North West musician and singer-songwriter Gerry O'Gorman.
Besides leading his own band, 'The Witnesses', for over 30 years (including a 1991 gig with the late, great Towns Van Zandt, in Whitefield!), Gerry was a key member of Bury Songwriters' Circle, witnessing great performances from several US & European artistes. He also played in 'Songs from the Library', a musical celebration of public libraries.
Gerry’s recording credits include a double CD of Classic Irish Songs, and a critically received 11 song CD ‘Better to Have Loved’ about Burnley Football Club, including ‘Jimmy Mac' - a song signed up by 1970s independent record label, Cherry Red Records.
Gerry also plays fundraisers for various humanitarian causes. With a huge, varied repertoire to draw on, Gerry’s performance is well-awaited and much-welcome.
Put it in your diary - Friday 2 September 2022 – it should be a great night!
Doors are 7pm.
No physical or digital tickets will be provided, all names will be on the door.
Thanks!
