Newly remastered release of Toyah’s 1981 Gold-selling album Anthem. Produced by Nick Tauber, with arrangements by the band and Toyah, the album features a line- up that saw Willcox and Joel Bogen joined by Nigel Glockler, Phil Spalding and Adrian Lee. Anthem was a big commercial success, reaching number two in the UK Top 40 album chart in May 1981. It spent 46 weeks on the album chart and was awarded a Gold album sales certification. The album followed two Top Ten hit singles, ‘It’s A Mystery’ (#4) and ‘I Want To Be Free’ (#8) both of which feature. The album also includes the anthemic ‘We Are’ and the atmospheric ‘Jungles Of Jupiter’, both classics that have remained in Toyah’s live set to this today.
